It is important to note in this post that I am not as quick or as good at translating symbols as Kesh is because Balthazaar is lazy and has a serious disadvantage from being sealed inside me: I have a fog that clouds my mind, blocks out memories of both myself and my givens, and prevents certain abilities of theirs and mine to shine through. That is, they aren’t as fully focused at translating or speaking as they would be if they weren’t sealed inside of me.

What happened tonight sounds far-fetched, but for the open-minded – kudos for bearing with me this far. K, the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to me would be hands-down tonight: the sky was breathing and it had a heartbeat. Ox was listening to it. Sounds somewhat like a plane, but in a rhythm. Very, very creepy and yes it is unbelievable. What’s more insane is that it stopped as soon as we started commenting and listening intently to it. “Yeah, right, the sky is alive -/sarcasm-” would be anyone’s thoughts. That’s okay, I have a hard time listening to me chatter on like a wacko, too. Getting more to the point, after everything died down, Ox lit his lighter. We were outside when all of this happened and a storm is supposed to be rolling in, but the breeze has been pretty fast so why is the storm moving slower than molasses? No clue. Anyway, he lit his lighter when there was, at the time, no wind yet the lighter flickered like crazy. An explanation here, readers: if a light flickers and there is no “draft” or wind or any logical reason for a flame to go nuts – that is called “energy” and if it goes beserk, that means there’s a looot of it around. It was coming from the north, same direction as the storm. We have an anxious feeling for no “logical reason” and that means something BIG is coming probably following the abnormally slow storm.

Around the same time we started getting anxious, Ox said to get him a piece of paper. We went inside and he scribbled like mad all over notebook sheets of paper. Symbols flooded his mind from an unknown source. This, again, is called “auto-writing” and I can assure you that at that level of fast markings and symbol madness, it’s not pleasant. It can give you a headache. He got 2 different messages each in a different language, but the sources are unknown; he allowed me to translate them (Balthazaar helped me greatly so I can learn how to read and write the languages on my own).

Just so that all of you understand the difference between “supernatural languages” and what I mean by “symbols”, I drew what was on the notebook paper (we don’t have a scanner) on to my computer using my Wacom. The first message was in Draconic (no, it is NOT the language of Dragons). Now, keep in mind that I don’t speak, write, or read Draconic – anything that I do write is done by auto-writing where I clear my mind and allow the symbol to form with each line that my hand writes/draws. Balthazaar can read it, write it, and speak it; what he cannot do, thanks to my fog, is translate it to English. So, he had to translate it to Demonic instead and from there, he allowed Kesh to translate it to English.

That image is full of Draconic symbols. They look funny and made up, don’t they?  Be thankful that I cleared them up because Ox ended up scribbling and going over the same lines twice so it was hard to tell what line went where. Anyway, that’s Draconic. Using the Draconic > Demonic > English translation, it reads like this:

“For the end/everything/all the energy/Meakumaere (Demon name)/transform/the first/of a whole/nine for one/eight for one/in all of the/world none will/prevail over/annihilation”

Okay. Perhaps I should take a second to explain. Each symbol you see isn’t a letter in the Draconic alphabet. It’s a word or more precisely a phrase. You think Kanji is difficult? Try Draconic, Demonic, Elvish (not JRR Tolkien’s version, either), or any of those languages; they’re hard! No, we don’t know what it means entirely but here’s a thought to chew on. “Nine for one” would be the Original 9 Demons; “Eight for one” is referring to the 8 Harbingers (I was only aware of 6 until this message popped up). Kesh is analyzing the messages, I’m sure. Don’t let the word “annihilation” scare you, either. I’ll explain Meakumaere, the name of a Demon, later on.

The second message he received was written in Demonic. I recognized it right away because once several months ago, I saw Ox scribbling some weird symbols on a sheet of paper. It was a Demonic symbol representing a name of one of the Harbingers. He drew quite a few and that’s how I was able to tell this message was Demonic.

It doesn’t look the same as Draconic, does it? Freaky symbols, yes, but you can really tell the difference just like you can tell there’s a difference between the Japanese kanji and hiragana or katakana. It’s essentially the same thing. This message was the first one I translated to actual words. The words sound funny and are difficult for normal people (even me) to pronounce, but spelling them out helps. From Demonic > English, the translation is as follows:

“To control/all in one/every one/together/entire class/come in as one/you in all of you/one contained power/predisposition to all power”

It didn’t make sense the first time because Balthazaar and I got a couple of words wrong in translation. Kesh double checked it and it made more sense in English. Apparently, if you don’t have the whole word in Demonic, it comes out as a non-sensical funny phrase in English like “corixtan” translates only to “one contained” while “conrixtaneral” translates to “one contained power”. Like I said – it’s a funky languages.

Either way, that’s what has happened so far. I figured I’d share the symbols with you readers so that you can both see what Draconic and Demonic look like and tell the difference. I’m not so sure I want to find out who’s behind these messages or worse: if the two messengers are related somehow. I shudder to think of what kind of power an entity would have if it had all of the original 9 and the 8 Harbingers merged together. Maybe that’s what someone’s trying to do. Who knows? I just hope we can stop it before it carries out whatever plan it has.

Last night should have been normal: the evil entity won’t be returning any time soon, Daddy Von Hessial’s nosy spies were executed for, y’know, being nosy, and any other enemies that we have like Aro or Throvan have all been out of the picture for a good month now. If there are any new enemies, they have yet to reveal themselves.

Too bad Destromada is still on the hunt. I’m not sure what he’s playing at, but after last night, the pieces of our puzzle that we’ve been trying to fit together have sudden warped themselves to very complex jigsaw shapes and no longer fit together. First off, I should start by saying that the past few nights, I’ve been having mental connections with the Harbinger of Destruction.

A few nights ago (maybe Friday?), was the night that the entity’s message first popped up on the trunk of our car. I was minding my own business talking about who could have left the message when Balthazaar chimed in something about Destromada. It wasn’t long after that that Ox explained Destromada could be behind the message that was sent and shortly after I was made aware of the fact that Destromada was looking for Maladon, I was outside in the moonlight when I got a strong connection with the Harbinger of Destruction. A strong mental connection. How and why, I didn’t know at the time: all I knew was that I had to hide Lestraido’s energy signature by putting seals and barriers up in my mind. If he finds her and Maladon together, game over. He’ll be pretty pissed off about that (they were once lovers).

Much later that night, Morgaea astral projected into town (he was 10 miles south of us) towards him and tried to detect an extra energy signature because we’re thinking someone is using him as a lil puppet. She tried to help. FAIL, Morgaea! Epic fail! That was when she nearly got herself killed and Gab had to extract poisons from her body. Ick.

Saturday afternoon after the story of Francis Pierre was told to me (and Balthazaar freaked out on me trying to get drunk to get the images out of his head and by freaking out he was making ME anxious and twitchy), I had a cup of tea, calmed Balthazaar down, and started to come up with a plan to find pieces of the puzzle and put them together. We, at that point, weren’t sure if the entity called Vaneeshstal (the possessing entity of Francis Pierre) was working together with Destromada or not and I wanted to know. Everything was need-to-know. Yuuko, my bargainer, I sent on a mission to France to hunt down all of the items that Vaneeshstal had possessed – all of his “horcruxes” if you will – to save itself from total destruction. Morgaea, after her little stunt with Destromada, would be sitting her ass down. She wasn’t happy. Gab refuses to leave my body because as my primary Given, I would be “defenseless” without her. Balthazaar was to research his library for extra information concerning the entity. But I needed someone to go find Destromada and get a sample of his energy: mingled with his energy signature would be others such as the person who’s controlling him or Vaneeshstal’s if they’re working together. We needed someone talented who could fight should conflict arise yet subtle enough to get close. Who else should I choose but two of my loyal friends that live in our game room closet? Twitch and Twatch.

The story behind these two can be saved for later, but let me give you an image. Think of the troll from Harry Potter & the Sorcerer’s Stone: big, ugly, and slouches with big hands and giant feet. Imagine a pair of twins like that except no gut hanging over the pants, lankier, yet still slouching. Twitch is green. Transformers 2: Rise of the Fallen’s Mudflap would be Twatch: red in color with big ears. Skids, the green twin, would be Twitch also with giant ears. We call them Twitch and Twatch for a reason: they twitch and, well, “twatch” a slightly different way of twitching. Don’t ask. They’re funny, they come in a pair, and they have very low energy levels that are almost undetectable by powerful beings. It’s easy to sense something big, but anyone has to concentrate harder on their senses to be able to sense something smaller like rats or Twitch or Twatch. See the brilliance in my plan? =D

I had them to search town for Destromada to get a sample. If they went in a pair, that meant that if he destroyed one, the other could race back here and give us the information we needed. I told them that if I received a connection from him, I’d point them in that direction. As a matter of fact, later that day, I did get a connection and I informed them straight away. Oh, they arrived, but by the time they did, he and I were about to get into it. You know those two-way mirrors in cop movies? One side has a mirror, the other side is a window so they can’t see you but you can see them? I tried putting that up as a defense mechanism in the connection; he busted right through it and tried to attack me. I defended, of course, and realized Twitch & Twatch were there so I kept him busy for them to get a sample. Never turn your back on a Harbinger, readers, or a Demon. I didn’t because I know better and I was reading his movements. I told him flat out “I’m no match for you so I’m afraid I’m going to have to cut this a bit short” and cut the connection. I don’t think he was happy, but he can go suck an egg for all I care.

Now, after all that crap I went through with the Harbinger of Destruction, you’d think that Twitch and Twatch would get a sample. No, they didn’t. They honestly didn’t have to. Harbingers are extremely dangerous just like demons and other non-physical entities; they all have tricks to defend themselves or to harm their opponent. If you can take an energy blast to the gut and live through it, fantastic! Check for poison. In my case, the connection was there long enough with Destromada that he was able to send destructive energies into my mind to try and kill me. My body was unconscious, but Gab took over, got Valik, and he rose me while Balthazaar did a spell to suck all of the destructive energies into a bottle that we later gave to Malakesh to analyze. I came out of my unconscious state, Gab healed whatever mental wounds I might have got, and Kesh got his sample to analyze.

Last night wasn’t too much different. Destromada once again tried to establish a connection and I try to make a point of not making the same mistake twice. I severed the connection about three times, each time he would create a new connection, until I had Balthazaar put up a barrier that blocked out Destromada completely. I won’t be able to know where he’s at, but at least he can’t send something into me without me knowing it, rriiigghht? No sooner Balthazaar finished that spell than some little non-physical worm-like thing popped out of my left hand. I crushed it, put a seal over my hand, and when it started hurting, I but a Burnestil Seal on my arm. This essentially looks like a strange glyph that would “burn” or carterize a person’s skin. Non-physical burning and it doesn’t damage or hurt you, but it’s essentially the same gist as branding something onto your skin; it seals something up the way a hot surface would seal up an open wound. He had me run cool water over it just to make the seal permanent.

I was in the bathroom when all of a sudden, I got the strange urge to write on the mirror. I tried writing in water, but that doesn’t work so I grabbed lipstick and wrote with it. This is called “auto-writing” when a person starts writing without any knowledge of why or what they are writing as if they’re driven by some unknown force to get words or, in this case, symbols out. I’ll draw a picture later of what I wrote. Kesh translated it for me because it was in Draconic and Demonic.

“Forever in Destruction.”

According to Kesh, it’s a verbal tic or habit of Destromada’s. He says that whenever he’s doing something or about to do something he feels is important or exciting — in this case, establish a connection and I guess kill me. I told Kesh about the worm and he said that the worm can’t feed off of dark energy–which is why it didn’t latch on to Ox yet it did latch on to me. It used Ox as a carrier. He’s using worms to spy on people by making connections (whether they’re aware of it or not)  and seeing what they’re up to.

Kesh’s analysis on Destromada’s energy isn’t complete yet, but subtracting the obvious energy signatures (mine, Twitch & Twatch’s, etc.), there was his host’s and two unknown yet “weak” energy signatures. We suspect one of these two are another piece to the puzzle as to who and (hopefully) why someone is controlling Destromada. There was no sign of Vaneeshstal’s which means he wasn’t working with the entity…yet. That’s good news for now.

I just hope something big doesn’t go down tonight. I’m still waiting to hear from Vannon/Nathan. I hope he comes because I miss my friend, but more than that, we need his help. If this is really that big that someone is trying to gather all of the Original 9 Demons and Harbingers that ISN’T Vannon’s dad, Daddy Von Hessial, we’re going to need some help and we don’t have that many powerful allies other than Nathan. Too bad his pride has practically taken over logic. We’ll just have to wait and see, I guess…

June 26th, 2010

Sooo, last night was the first official full moon for June. Freakin’ finally, right? Not usually significant other than the usual vampiric/lycan issues we’ll need to deal with. Irritation, moodiness, hunger that food can’t solve (no, we don’t drink blood or eat flesh), power & energy enhancements. Stuff like that. Well, Morgaea was complaining about not eating and Ox said to eat the lil energy rats that were wandering around. It didn’t occur to me that anything was going on at the time whenever Morgaea attacked the first rat because Ox’s power and my power kind of send up a natural flare. She fed and on his way back into the house, Ox noticed some strange markings on the trunk of our car. Draconic symbols that he had Malakesh start to translate.

He went back inside and I/Morgaea was left outside playing around in the moonlight. It was really bright outside last night. Anyway, guess who should decide to show up while Morgaea’s dancing around? Arcroux. Gawd, I can’t spell his name; I can barely pronounce it correctly. We’ll say Lord Aro from Twilight (I want to kill myself for using a reference from that stupid series, but it’s as close of a coincidence as anyone has gotten to compare certain aspects of the supernatural realm; don’t take all of her works for truth, though. We vampires don’t sparkle, dear lord.) just for the sake of not being able to spell his name. Either way, he popped up and started butting his nose into the business concerning the markings. Morgaea threatened him, lead him inside to talk to Ox, and it turns out the markings weren’t Vampiric like “Aro” thought they were; they were Draconic. He said he was looking for a rogue vampire. Alucard (yes, there is an actual vampire named Alucard) was brought up and we simply lied and told “Aro” that we haven’t seen him; that wasn’t who the rogue vampire was anyway–thankfully. So, no, we haven’t been attacked by a rogue vampire…yet. I’ll bet someone $20 he shows up soon, though. We aren’t exactly unnoticeable.

Carrying on with the events, it was explained that Destromada–the Harbinger of Destruction–is looking for his brother Peinene or Maladon, the Harbinger of Pain, who resides within a suitable host: Ox. Destromada’s ex-girlfriend, Lestraido (Harbinger of Lust/Seduction) is with me. He’s also looking for her and he has an idea of where Maladon is, but it upsets him that he doesn’t know where Lestraido is. We had to actually hide her energy signature because he appeared about 10 miles away from us. He was in town looking for them, but he’d sent the rats (the ones Morgaea fed on) to try and find Maladon. Several nights ago, Balthazaar and Lestraido were in Balty’s room talking. We thought they were doing something else (*cough*) but they were discussing a message each of them got. Someone has called for a meeting for both the Harbingers and the Original 9 Demons. …Again.

Everyone (my Givens, Ox’s givens) discussed it all at length last night. Malakesh and Maladon also received the message sent to each of them. Maladon and Balthazaar both seem to think that someone is using Destromada to get something. Who, what, how, and why are the questions we need answers to. None of the four here with us (Balthazaar & Lestraido with me; Kesh and Maladon with Ox) are wanting to go. Even to me something feels wrong and I got a terrible vision last night of what would happen if that meeting occurred. It won’t be pretty.

The Draconic message was translated by Kesh shortly before our discussion. “Destruction to those who wait. Thy own’s doing will be thy own’s fate.” He couldn’t finish it at the time and he started looking through his library because he said he knew he’d heard it before. That’s when Balthazaar piped in. Keep in mind that Balthazaar was drunk during the entire time of WW2, but he was able to pinpoint where and when they’d heard it.

The story goes that there was a priest in a  French synagogue in 1945 that was possessed. According to Kesh and Balthazaar, it was a very disturbing event because it wasn’t a normal possession; it was, by their own codes and whatnot (yes, even Demons have codes)…strange. Balthazaar, Kesh, and one of the Harbingers was present in the same synagogue having possessed others at the church when all of this took place. He says that there were writings all over the walls by the pastor, his sermons got darker and more demented, repeating the prophecy over and over until he ended up speaking in tongues. The possession went on for about four months until the final two weeks of the event had the priest slaughter a lot of people and wrote in a book using their blood in Demonic and Draconic. He finally committed suicide after leaving a message that Balthazaar and Kesh refuse to tell me.

After we went to bed, I got an image of the pastor during a sermon (no one had attended it, apparently). It was scary. I get freaked out easily by stuff like that and this was by far the scariest thing I’ve ever seen. The pastor looked at me in the picture, but his eyes were…all wrong. He looked possessed, I’ll tell you that much. The image froze just when he turned to face me with that face, but the reason wasn’t focused entirely on the pastor. It was focused on his bible which had writings covering the pages in either blood or red ink (I couldn’t decipher it real well) and with Balthazaar’s help, we were able to translate the rest of the message.

“The earth shall be wrought with sin. Death will be the fate of all upon swift wings. Eternal suffering will begin.”

Just before the image came, though, we somehow linked minds with Destromada. Lestraido’s energy signature remained hidden, thankfully, but it was Morgaea who astral projected herself to town and stood near him. She was trying to get an energy signature off him that might be able to hint at who’s behind all of this, but before she could, he figured out she was there and tried to attack her. We tried to yank her back to our body before he could do any damage (and it would have done a LOT of damage), but she got nicked..with poison. Gabe got it out and healed her up. Maladon was worried. So cute! She’s fine, I’m fine, and this morning as I’m writing this, Malakesh says that there’s another verse to the Draconic message.

We still think someone is pulling Destromada’s strings, but I wish we knew who. Kesh and I seem to agree that whoever it is understands what they’re doing (otherwise, they wouldn’t be using Destromada, they wouldn’t write in Draconic, and they wouldn’t know the message), but they don’t understand the full consequences of their actions. Whatever they want, they won’t get it. I have no intention of handing over my best friends to some maniac who wants to see the world burn. Maybe I’d better start training again just to be able to fight this person if it comes to that.

Morgaea

During the time period between the death of Samuel and the next life I can recall, a pure-blooded witch named Jade performed a forbidden ritual to try and taint her blood which would grant her an insane amount of power. The ritual called upon an entity known as a Harbinger (these will be explained later in the story). She had her mind set upon a particular Harbinger, but she instead encountered Chorvaldo, the Harbinger of Chaos. Jade’s tainted blood was used as a kind of rare candy for my soul mate. Unkown to Samuel during his next few normal lives, a group of six people lead by Vannon placed an incantation on her blood in order to keep Samuel from hunting the flesh of others in his other lives. Brig, Vannon, Jade, Azael, Damien and his brother, Garek were the original six members who performed the soul-blood ritual.

This chapter is a significant life in the chronology of our story; it was the third or fourth time I was reincarnated, but the lives before were normal. My name then was Morgaea Thelanti. During conception, I acquired a twin sister, Elizabeth, who became the younger of us. Our bloodline descended from the witch named Jade, but it was my sister who gained the title of witch from our father, a powerful warlock. I, on the other hand, inherited our mother’s bloodline: vampire. We were the daughters of a wealthy man who had worked hard for his fortune and raised us in a townhouse as normal children until our late teens.

It was then that our father decided to have our townhouse remodeled by a farm boy. His name was Alastair, the reincarnated soul of Samuel. I frowned upon him at first because of his status, but as weeks went on during our remodeling, my opinion of him changed. I discovered that he was the youngest of three sons sired by his poor father: Alastair, Nathaniel, and Zeke.

After nine months, he finally courted me and took me horseback riding. We sat down at a picnic and talked for hours. In the course of our picnic, my father stopped by to chat. He stayed a bit longer than we had anticipated, but both my father and Alastair seemed to enjoy each other’s company. When my father decided to leave us alone, he gave us his blessing on our official courting status. We dated for months. My sister became jealous because she felt, for some reason or another that Alastair was supposed to be interested in her instead of me. The harder she tried, the easier it became for Alastair to ignore her advances.

Alas, our happiness was postponed when Alastair got word that his father was on his deathbed. He gave us his apologies and excused himself at once. In the three months that he was taking care of his father, I visited him often—as did my sister. He was polite to her, yet rude at the same time. He was far more worried about his father’s health than anything. His father was such a kind and wise man. He listened so intently to Alastair’s ramblings about me that it took him only a short while for him to figure out how in love his youngest son was. Alastair’s father had it placed in his will that everything went to him to sell: the property, the livestock, all of it. Everything would go to Alastair. However, once Alastair sold it, he must give half of the fortune to his brothers to split between themselves. If there was an attempt on his life or if he was to die of unnatural causes and the brothers were found to be behind it, they would get nothing. As I said, Alastair’s father was wise and, at times, clever.

Those last three months after the will was changed, his brothers hired one or two men to kill Alastair. The Judge/Deputy Sheriff caught the man and his two brothers conspiring to murder him. He had them sent away and when his father finally passed on and Alastair sold everything, he became wealthier than even my father. Yet, he set it all back and moved in to the townhouse with us at my father’s request. Everything Alastair had gained, he placed into his will that in the event of his death, I would gain everything. When the Judge asked why he did that, Alastair replied “I’m in love”. It was then that the Judge learned of Alastair’s plans to marry me.

When my sister found out, all hell broke loose. She searched for a soothe sayer in order to learn how to invoke the spirits of one of our ancestors. The ancestor my sister sought out was none other than the tainted witch, Jade. It was Jade who told Elizabeth how to perform a ritual called a soul-body-possession. This allowed Elizabeth to inhabit my body while I watched from inside, helpless to stop her.

The day Alastair came to propose to me Elizabeth had possessed my body. When he did propose, she did the most terrible thing a person could ever do. In a way, my twin sister killed two birds with one stone: Alastair and myself.

“I am not in love with you,” she said pretending to be me. “I was never in love with you. I was using you and now that I have everything that I want, you are of no use to me. If you truly love me, you’ll drop dead and give me my fortune.”

The broken hearted man went home and put a pistol to his head… He self-destructed. Alastair death is not the ending of my story, however. A witness told me that my sister had went to a sooth sayer. I sought out the same sooth sayer to find out what my sister had done. When the sooth sayer informed me of my sister’s intentions and curiousity, I tried to kill Elizabeth. Of course, my father stopped me and set a trap. My father was just as wise and clever as Alastair’s father. Instead, he changed his own last will and testament so that I would inherit everything and Elizabeth would get absolutely nothing. The moment she found out, my twin sister tried to kill me. She was arrested for attempted murder and the judge had her put away.

In the event of Alastair’s death, I did indeed inherit everything his father had left him. I could have very well been the wealthiest woman in the county, probably in the entire province once my father passed away and I’d inherited his fortune as well. I could have been, but what value did money have without a husband or a family? With the fortune, I remodeled the town. In exchange, I was given the key to the city. This attracted the eye of several suitors, but none of whom caught my interest like a singular man whose own fortune had been squandered and who was known to be rich only through his father’s name.

His name was Brig. Yes, one of the original six who had placed an incantation upon Jade’s blood had found an interest in the wealthiest young miss within that area. Brig, too, was a vampire. He longed for me only for my fortune, but apparently he played out being in love with me all too well. In an attempt to move on with my life, I agreed to give him my hand in marriage. In the following year, I had suspected him of adultery many times and caught him at long last. The fiend tried to make it up to me, convinced me his love was true, and made love to me that very night. It was then that I conceived a child. A pure-blooded vampire child who died of SIDs within seven months of her life…

I sank into a deep depression. That was when Brig decided to try and get his fortune, but he knew I was not a normal human. He had to take extra precautions to ensure I was dead. First, he shot me in the heart and then stabbed me. My body was burned, the ashes pissed on. My father, who was the Power of Attorney chosen by me, signed away my entire fortune. It did not go to my treacherous husband. Instead, the entirety of my fortune—what I had inherited from Alastair and would inherit from my father—went to the town, as I had requested. Brig was left with nothing.

The murder of the vampire Morgaea Thelanti triggered an unusual reincarnation. Her soul was fused with that of a Harbinger, Lestraido, and placed into my present self. My past life is now one of my Givens. I try to warn many people about her awful temper, loathing for men, and that serious case of vengeance she has set up for Brig when she comes across him again.
